We are seeking to recruit an Asset and Operations Co-Ordinator to provide support to our both the IT Service Desk and Estates Helpdesk teams within the Infrastructure Directorate. The role will be primarily based at our Penryn Campus but may require occasional support at the other campuses.
This role provides an essential co-ordinating function for the IT Service Desk and Estates Helpdesk, ensuring tickets are logged, assessed and actioned in either the IT Service Management tool (EasyVista) or Computer Aided Facilities Management tool (PlanOn).
The role holder will track, replace, and recover a wide range of IT equipment, ensuring that procurement, stock, and records are maintained. Ensuring that any IT equipment is disposed of in compliance with WEEE regulations, that appropriate cybersecurity processes are followed and data on IT assets are accurately recorded in the IT Service Management (ITSM) tool.
The role also supports the Directorate in the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance by providing planning support, contractor liaison, and managing maintenance data within the Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system.
Enquiries are raised via multiple methods including phone, email, face to face and via the ITSM/CAFM self-service portals. The role also co-ordinates with other Estates team members via 2-way radio. Some prior experience of working with either ITSM, CAFM or Contractor Control systems would be an advantage.
