About The Role

We are now seeking a dynamic and creative Internal Communications Lead to be responsible for our student communications strategy.
 
As a key member of our collaborative and innovative Marketing & External Engagement team, you’ll work alongside our Internal Communications Officer responsible for staff engagement. Together, you’ll ensure our communications are cohesive, compassionate and compelling or our whole university community.
 
This role offers a high degree of autonomy, allowing you to shape communication that resonate with our audiences and support transformation initiatives. You should have recent, relevant experience in a similar role, excellent writing skills, a clear understanding of the strategic direction of the University and the ability to influence and negotiate with partners internally and externally.

About You

We’re looking for a proactive, creative and collaborative communications professional with a strong background in communications or marketing. The ideal candidate will be a skilled writer with exceptional copywriting, proofing, and editing abilities, and you’ll be comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
 
Your collaborative approach will be key, as you’ll work across departments to ensure clear, timely communication with students. Familiarity with content management systems, email marketing, and social media is desirable, as is experience in event planning and working with design teams.
 
We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:
 
  • Demonstrable relevant and recent experience in a similar communications or marketing role.
  • Experience developing and delivering multi-channel content strategies, with a focus on engaging audiences through digital and offline platforms.
  • An understanding of analytics and experience of evaluating and reporting on communications campaigns
  • Experience collaborating with diverse teams
