To be successful in this role, you must be a professional, creative, and self-motivated individual who thrives in an autonomous working environment. You will be responsible for managing and delivering all recruitment and outreach activities across the region, and will need to be highly organised with experience in account management and data analysis.
You should have a proven track record of working with schools and colleges, driving recruitment activities, and meeting set targets. As the sole recruitment officer for this region, you will need to be comfortable with significant travel, including overnight stays, and working independently to meet the demands of the recruitment process.
You will also need to have excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, along with a strong understanding of the needs of different audiences. While you’ll be working remotely and on your own for much of the time, we are looking for someone who can make a dynamic contribution to the wider team and align their work with the broader strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and implement a regional recruitment plan to drive applications across the East of England.
- Build and maintain relationships with schools, colleges, and other key stakeholders.
- Coordinate and deliver outreach activities to engage with young people, especially from disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Manage all aspects of recruitment activity in the region, including planning, data analysis, and reporting.
- Travel extensively across the region to visit schools, colleges, and other relevant institutions.
We are looking for candidates with the following skills/experience:
- Experience in the FE/Schools sector in the UK.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with educational leaders.
- Experience managing the recruitment process from planning to execution.
- Strong communication, presentation, and persuasion skills.

This is a permanent, full time, 35 hours a week position across Monday-Friday.
Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will be required to successfully undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
